Gangrene?!

I know that many of you have been wondering...especially since my last post was in November...if the injuries that I received from being hit by a car resulted in my contracting Gangrene (had to look that up on google) in my injuries. No I am not dead. Nor has my leg been cut off. I just haven't been able to have time or internet activity to post again. I'm posting now to let all know that I have things to post on here, I just want to add the pictures and don't have them up yet. Therefore, maybe I'll be able to do that next time.

Anyway, some of the things to be highlighted: I was able to graduate from college (YEAH!!!), then the day after that, I had all my things packed in my car, whose name is Schultz, when it was snowing pretty hard and some girl was turning into our parking lot and smashed into the back of Schultz. I was very sad and am still trying to work through all the insurance claim stuff. I celebrated Christmas and had a great one! Anyway, we'll talk more about all these things at a later time when I can show pictures!

Crosswalk-Car Accident - b

Because of my experience, I got interviewed by Channel 6 and it aired on the news Wednesday night at 6 and 10. Then my mom told me that it also aired the next morning as well!

I'm famous!!!

Sorry if it's not a very great recording, I was getting it from my laptop with my camera!

Crosswalk-Car Accident

Okay, so for those of you who haven't heard, on the past Monday, Nov. 10, I was kind of hit by a car here in Rexburg, while I was crossing at a cross walk. Like any proud and happy mother, I have a few bruises which I absolutely love and adore. The main one is on my knee. Though I have a couple of bruises developing under my eyes, so I laugh every time I look in a mirror.

The following ones were taken mainly on Wednesday evening so they've had some time to develop. The new one came from where the car hit me, which put me onto it's hood. It's my favorite. And yes, I do have a chocolate candy bar beside me! I need to keep up my strength after all!

These next ones were take on Thursday. I would like to turn everyone's attention to the fact that the bruising is slowly starting to spread down my leg. I know....beautiful!

When I was on the hood of the car, I pushed myself off and face-planted it into the pavement, slightly scraping a bump in my hair and cutting my nose. It was a little sensitive for a few days, but then the bruising started up under my eyes. So I look a little like a raccoon! I also scraped up my glasses, but I'm already in the process of getting some new ones.

I'm Late!

Hey all! Sorry, I'm late getting anything posted. I'll have to work on that. I have pictures I want all to see so I'm going to do one page of my trip from San Antonio to back home in Idaho. We'll have to see how that all works out! Maybe I'll even get it done! (Yeah, sure....)

The Alamo

And here it is - The Alamo! I took off a couple of hours early and was able to get to downtown San Antonio and see it. Sadly, I wasn't able to make the tour, but I still got to see a lot of cool things and I'm taking an educational video home (and a magnet) to the family. I'm gonna brush up on my San Antonio history while I'm up at school. Then when I come back down, I'll have a better knowledge of the area and know the sights to see. Anyway...on to the pictures. I'll try to explain as we go. (And yes, these are all pictures from my new camera.)

Above is a picture of the layout of the Alamo and the main structure is in the upper right corner.

The inner wall structure next to the main structure.

This is the pretty archway next to the doors of the main structure.

This is the walkway to the right when you walk through the archway. I thought this was very picturesque.

This was said to be a library or research building, of sorts. But because it looked old (minus the blindingly white paper on the door which pretty much says "Stay out. You're not supposed to be here"), I thought that it was picture worthy.

At a lot of these old historical sites, all these trees have been just too tired to stand up, so they have been growing into the ground sidways. They just lay down. I love the trees that do that. I just develop giddy feelings when I see that. Wow! That was weird typing that.

For all those who know me, I hope you'll get a laugh out of this.
IT'S A SQUIRREL!!!

Here's some of the pretty garden area in the back area of The Alamo.

Here's a couple of my famous peeps' names around the same quaint little fountain!

This is a honkin' big tree with a well right beside it.
I purposely put the people sitting on the bench in the background, just so you (the viewer) would recognize and appreciate the tree's size. (Cause that's what photographers do, try to make you think. So unfair.)

This is a monument outside of the main Alamo structure, commemorating the individuals who gave their lives in the siege that happened here. I truly do wish that I could have taken a lot more time, read more of the little stories along with the artifacts, been able to go on a guided tour....but I'll have to do that some other time. It's truly a great historical place, I just need more time to explore it.

There's also the Riverwalk, which is really nearby the Alamo. I took the waterfall picture nearby it. I would have taken a picture of the water, but it didn't really look like very nice water. I think it's cause it's the end of summer that the water looked all muggy and green. But the waterfall was pretty so it earned a place on my camera.

And here's me, next to the well and the honkin' big tree! I hope you've been able to enjoy the pictures. It was really awesome getting to go here and explore and I can't wait to go back and see more.

Sunday Beauty

I know, from the title, you can tell that this post is going to be about me. You're right. I started playing around with my camera, which I got on Saturday, and then I got ready for church. Well, I decided since I had a nice camera, I needed to look nice in pictures for this blog. So here's my last Sunday here in San Antonio for the year. This was when I was playing with the timing mechanism (like a bomb) on my camera.

Then there's some from outside. You can't tell, but my hair is up in the pictures below. Do you want to know who did it? That's right - it was me. Who's being all grown up now?

In this last one picture, yes I am wearing jewelry and I do have makeup on. My mom said that I did this purposely on the last Sunday because I was wanting to let all the guys see just what they were missing. Inwardly, I think that I might agree with her. If only the guys had been able to draw me from my apartment. But to no avail.....mwhahhahaha.

Later! (Or "-Ta sha", for those who know what it means.)

Chocoholic's Open for Business!

Hello to one and all!!! I have now opened up a blog!!! I'm really excited!!! (True excitement is shown with three or more exclamation marks. So, !!!!!!)

"Why have you waited so long?" you might be asking. Well, because I didn't have a digital camera on which to take pictures and add to the site. Cause you have to admit that having just a block of text to read through is kind of boring. In fact, you probably haven't read this whole paragraph, cause you got bored with reading it. Yup, so I'm just writing for my own pleasure....but seeing as how I'm the one who is most interested in what I think or say, or I think that it's the most important thing, I always listen to myself. So I at least know that I have a rapt audience of one! But for those of you who have persevered through this entire paragraph - congratulations! You have won....a chance to view my blog for free! Now isn't that awesome?! What an investment! Just cause you have continued to read this paragraph! If you were to say "Thank you" or "Thanks" because you received this gift - I would then reply with "You are welcome!!!"

Now, you might be wondering about the title for my blog. Let me assure you - "Chocoholic" is an actual word. The definition is: "Chocoholic - noun, informal. A person who is addicted to or excessively fond of chocolate." That was just for your "edification"!!!

Okay, next topic - I mentioned that I have a camera but thus far, no pictures have appeared. This is an issue that must be rectified. Therefore, without further ado, my first picture with my camera.

Wow, that's amazing! Look at the artistry shown! The colors! My goodness! Could this just be a regular picture? I submit that it could not! Also, a little shout out for my friend Cami Barger - she called me and I started to play with my camera. I told her that she would be in my first picture posted. So, I want all to know that she's on the other end of the phone conversation. Doesn't she look great?! (Or would it be "sounds great?!")

That was a big moment right there, wasn't it?! This site is full of all those extreme thrills and stuff. I hope that the brilliance will continue to shine throughout this blog. Anyway, read, view and enjoy! I will continue to post and add pics and other stuff as we go!
